David Carratal\u00e1<\/strong> is a physicist and sound engineer who's been a musician since the age of 17.<\/p>\n

He's worked in radio as a live broadcast and post-production technician for companies like Onda Cero<\/strong> or M-Cube<\/strong>. As well as working on numerous film projects as a boom operator<\/strong> and sound supervisor<\/strong> , with directors such as Polo Men\u00e1rguez and Chema Sarmiento.<\/p>\n

From 2005 to 2017, he was a member and worked as a professional musician in a number of post-punk, rock, and synth-pop bands, including El Pardo<\/strong>, Algora<\/strong> or B\u00e9ton <\/strong>Brut<\/strong>, serving as a bassist, guitarist, keyboardist, songwriter, and producer.<\/p>\n

He began his journey as a techno producer and DJ in 2018, initially under the alias of Gallo Herm\u00e9tico<\/strong> and later as Cloister<\/strong>. The former project leans more towards EBM, Italo, and Electro sounds, while the latter is decidedly rooted in Techno, with releases on labels such as Or\u00e1culo Records<\/strong> (Barcelona), Tongr\u00e6ber<\/strong> (Vienna), and NTTR <\/strong>(Madrid) and numerous sessions recorded for collectives like polymotion <\/strong>(Berlin), Microondas<\/strong> (Zaragoza), Azkaban Kollektiv<\/strong> or Malasuerteradio<\/strong>. He's also been part of the lineup for events such as AlterEgo<\/strong>, Herzblut<\/strong>, Hole<\/strong> or Sync!<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

In addition, he's been a professor in the Sound Department<\/strong> of the TAI School of Arts,<\/strong>since 2019, teaching courses in Electroacoustics<\/strong>, Sound Technology<\/strong>, Sound Design<\/strong> and New Compositional Models<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Lastly, he's co-creator, alongside Cadencia Dolorosa<\/strong>, of the program Medi\u00famnica<\/strong> for the online radio station Radio Relativa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
