Production
In Alchemy, "nigredo" is the stage where all the different parts of a work are prepared, dissolving and reducing the substance into its essence or "prima materia". Using our exclusive tools, we let you choose whether you'd like to get down to work in our space yourself or trust our engineer to bring the first few tracks that will be the foundation of your creation to life.
- Sound Design.
- Composition.
- Tracking.
- Sequencing and Arrangement in DAW (ProTools, Ableton Live, Studio One).
- Vocal Take and Voiceover Recording.
- Instrument Recording (microphone and/or line-in recording).
- DJ Session Rehearsal and/or Recording.

Mixing
Mixing is the stage where the union (alchemical marriage) between the different elements of your production takes place.
When it comes to mixing, our philosophy is straightforward: we help you to discern the different elements that will compose the final result of your tracks, aiming for clarity and satisfaction, while also integrating them into an organic and fluid whole, following the alchemical maxim "solve et coagula”. “solve et coagula”.
If you notice a lack of clarity, definition, and/or spatiality, if there are elements missing, if there's something different about the mix depending on where you listen to it, if your song's missing punch or power... these are all problems you can solve by coming to our space and putting yourself in our hands (and ears). And then there's the cherry on top: an analog summing process added at the end that will take you "out of the box".

Analog Summing
The alchemical marriages of your work can take place in two realms: digital or analog.
You're probably used to doing this process in the digital realm. But you may have realized that without using some sort of analog emulation in your buses, the result is reduced to the sum of its parts. Cold. Lifeless.
With this service, we offer you the chance to do the exact opposite: to create a whole that's greater than the sum of its parts by introducing non-linearity into the mix and by using harmonic distortion, saturation, and various transformer circuits thanks to our specialized hardware, they'll give your Work that glow, warmth, and analog character you've been looking for.

Audio Restoration
If you’ve made any recordings from ‘real world' sources, especially using microphones and preamps, it’s very likely that you’ve encountered one or more of these issues with your audio files: hisses, hums, clicks, crackles, pops, the sound of wind or preamp noise, unwanted reverb, etc. If these are issues you're facing, or if you want to change the pitch or key of your track, at the Cabinet we have an audio restoration service that specializes in eliminating these imperfections and making the changes that will bring your sound back to life like a Phoenix.
Get in touch with us and send us your files so that we can carefully review your case and recommend what steps should be taken.
